Penarth, Dinas Powys, Llandough, Sully and Lavernock, and Wenvoe are to work together in response to the LDP Deposit.  This will enable them to share resources, knowledge and finances to challenge the LDP's proposals. They are also considering their own Traffic Impact Assessment, which will cost in the region of £20,000.

One of the landowners to benefit from the proposed developments in the Lavernock area is the Welsh Government, who ultimately approve the LDP.

Communities throughout the Vale have been holding meetings,  organising, placing placards around their streets and leafleting.  Drop-in sessions have also been organised to assist people with completing their comments form.
