Test Drilling for Gas Beneath St Nicholas Recommended for Approval

Protest, traffic and noise are increasingly likely to increase in St Nicholas in the coming months as the Vale of Glamorgan Council appears destined to allow test fracking for gas beneath St Nicholas, with a view to frack gas.  Should gas be extracted commercially, the gas or energy will need to be removed from the site.  This will involve pipes, lorries and possibly even a small power plant on the site and electricity cables.

Meanwhile, science increasingly tells us that burning fossil fuels is resulting in rapid climate change an that we need to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, not drill for more.
